The grand entrance and high brick fence are indicative of the impressive cemetery beyond which is one of Melbourne’s oldest and most significant. The cemetery is very full but reuse of family burial sites is available. Gardens and niche walls are available for cremated remains. A number of prominant people are buried here. Free information tours can be booked at the office. Historical tours are run periodically by The Brighton Cemetorians.
