Established in 1858, Templestowe has been filled in more recent years with a mix of monumental and lawn graves. The surrounding high brick wall acts as a colunarium for cremated ashes. This pleasant cemetery has views over the surrounding area and has a very high level of maintenance. There is a relatively new chapel and office area. New graves are not available but presold graves are still being filled and there is continued reuse of family graves.
