Dating from 1892, Liverpool cemetery is managed as three independent Crown land cemeteries as set out below. The division of the site into separate management areas is not clear when visiting the site.

1. Liverpool General Cemetery

The General Cemetery is the most prominant on site with an office and the new modern chapel and function room complex. The chapel is non denominational and features modern communication systems as well as a beautiful antique organ. The function room with toilet and kitchen facilities holds 200 people comfortably. New landscape work as well as general upgrade of the cemetery area has commenced and the aesthetics will be greatly enhanced when these plans are implemented.

The General Cemetery offers headstone lawn and monumental burial, including infil of existing areas. No expense has been spared in the the beautiful new Lady of Mount Carmel Mausoleum and the Sepulcre of the Resurrection.

Indicative prices

The following prices (early 2009) are given as a guide only and cannot be relied on. Contact the cemetery for up-to-date and comprehensive information. Prices are reviewed annually. All prices include GST.

A. Inground burial
Headstone lawn: $6,500 including granite headstone. Interment: $1,650. Total $8,150
Monumental site: $8,800 plus interment and monument application fee. Total $10,890 plus memorial
Tombs: $27,950 plus $1,650 interment.

B. Above ground burial
A range of Crypts are available from $17,500 single and $35,000 double plus $1,650 interment.
