The first burial at Penrith Cemetery occurred in 1910. The old as well as the newer graves are well maintained by Penrith Council. In ground burial is offered as either lawn, headstone lawn or full monumental. The lawn section is now non-denominational apart from the Catholic lawn section. Ashes may be placed in the columbaria wall or in the pupose built garden. Some interesting statues and monuments form part of the old cemetery.
