The Anglican and General Cemeteries at Rookwood are managed by two Crown Reserve Trust Boards sharing a common office on Hawthorne Avenue. The All Souls Chapel is available for funeral services whilst the 'Reflections at Rookwood' cafe (which opened in 2008) provides an excellent venue for after funeral gatherings. Lawn burial and monumental burial are offered and up to 20 ash interments per coffin burial site are allowed. There is also a Chinese ash estate.

Religious and other groups catered for

The Anglican cemetery caters for Armenian, Assyrian Christian, Serbian Orthodox, Russian Orthodox, Macedonian Orthodox, Mandaen, Maori,  and Christian faiths. The General Cemetery caters for Chinese, Vietnamese, Khmer, Indochinese, Hindu, Druze and Islamic groups.

 

Indicative prices

The following prices (21 July 2008) are given as a guide only and cannot be relied on. Contact the cemetery for up-to-date and comprehensive information. Prices are reviewed annually. All prices include GST. It is necessary to discuss the various options with cemetery staff in order to fully understand them. Indicative prices are as follows:

A. Lawn graves - at time of burial (prepurchase prices vary from those shown below):

• Serbian Lawn 2 including 1st opening: $5,170
• Maori Lawn area with standard black headstone and 1st opening: $5,313 (at need only)
• Remembrance lawn 3 including standard headstone and 1st opening: $5,368
• Monumental Lawn grave without headstone (15A and 19A): $4,334
• Headstone lawn grave in Magnolia Grove with a choice of 6 styles of 'black' headstone included and 1st opening: $6,589
• Muslim lawn in-coffin burial: $7,062 (not yet released)
• Muslim lawn out-of-coffin burial: $9,207 (not yet released)
• Children’s Lawn – with choice of 3 styles of ‘black’ headstone included and 1^st opening: $2035 (at need only)
• Macedonian lawn area packages including monument: at time of burial - singles from $9,800 & doubles from $18,950 ( prepurchase price varies depending on monument).
  

B. Monumental Graves at time of burial - monument extra (prepurchase prices vary from those shown below)

• Monumental graves (including Russian Orthodox 4, Assyrian, Armenian, Orthodox & Hindu: $7,150
• Orthodox 1 and Serbian Orthodox 1 & 2: $7,359 at (Orthodox at need only)
• Muslim monumetal area (in coffin burial only): $6,688 (at need only)
• Muslim Monumental area with foundations (out of coffin burial): $9,706 (at need only)
• Monumental gravesChinese 8 including foundation: $9,702 (no in between burials)
• Monumental graves in Macedonian Ordothox 5 including foundation: $9.988(at need only)
• Chinese Garden Estate Packages including monument: at time of burial - singles from $19,000 to $33,000 & doubles from $35,000 to $50,000 (prepurchase prices vary depending on monument)
• Chinese Inperial Garden Estate Packages including monument: at time of burial - singles from $20,000 to $35,000 & doubles from $39,000 to $60,000 (prepurchase prices vary depending on monument)

C. Ashes

• Ash interment in grave not impeding second burial: from $495
• Niche Wall $2,211 including  plaque and interment
• Chapel Rose Garden $3,498, including plaque and interment
• Chinese Ash estate $5,060 plus monument
